TOECAP OF SAFETY SHOES AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a toe-cap for safety shoes which reinforces the front end portion of safety shoes to protect the user′s feet, and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, there is provided a toe-cap for safety shoes having a low weight and excellent mechanical properties. The toe-cap is an injection molded product including thermoplastic resins containing 40-60 wt% of a polycarbonate resin and 40-60 wt% of a thermoplastic elastomer and 1-10 wt% of chopped glass fibers having a fiber length of 2-15 mm based on the weight of the thermoplastic resins, wherein the chopped glass fibers retain their shapes in the state of the injected molded product. There is also provided a method for manufacturing the toe-cap with high efficiency and low cost.
