PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pharmaceutical compositions for treating, alleviating or preventing increased LDL cholesterol or symptoms associated with increased LDL cholesterol.SOLUTION: The present invention provides novel immunogens comprising an antigenic proprotein convertase subtilisin-kexin type 9 (PCSK9) peptide linked to an immunogenic carrier for prevention, treatment or alleviation of PCSK9-mediated disorders.
