PURPOSE: A headrest stay for a vehicle is provided to make lightweight, to manufacture environment-friendlily by excluding the necessity of a separate plating process, to heighten impact resistance, and to cut down the cost by simplifying or automating a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A headrest stay for a vehicle contains a horizontal portion(1) made of metal or plastics and fixed with a headrest body, two leg portions inserted to the upper center of a seat for a vehicle, and a bent portion(5) connecting the horizontal portion and the two leg portions. The leg portion comprises an inner member and an outer member(32), wherein the inner member is composed of an upper circular cross section(30a), a middle elliptical cross section, and a lower circular cross section, and the outer member is composed of a stopper portion(34) covering a portion of the upper circular cross section and the middle elliptical cross section of the inner member, and a seat joint portion covering the middle elliptical cross section and the lower circular cross section of the inner member and having many height adjusting groove(38). |
