The bearing (10') has a rigid outer ring (16) fixed to a fixed elongated casing that houses a steering rack bar. A cylindrical rigid inner ring (18) guides the bar in translation, and an elastic dampening layer (20) is intercalated between the outer ring and the inner ring. The inner ring has elastic deformable portions (42) bulged towards interior of the inner ring. A screw positions the deformable portions in contact with the bar. An independent claim is also included for a steering system comprising a fixed elongated casing in which a bar is mounted. |
