<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system, and a control method thereof, equipped with a coolant flow control valve with its consumption power restrained and can accurately adjust coolant flow by absorbing detection errors of an opening sensor suitable for the coolant flow control valve. <P>SOLUTION: A control device corrects correlation of an opening of the coolant flow control valve and a detection value of the opening sensor, through a step S1 of putting the coolant flow control valve in a totally closed state, a step S2 of obtaining a detection value of the opening sensor at the totally closed state as a first reference value, and a step S3 of correcting the correlation of the opening of the coolant flow control valve and the detected value of the opening sensor. Then, the control device adjusts an opening of the coolant flow control valve based on the corrected correlation, and, if the coolant flow control valve is to be set at a default opening (a fully opened state), power supply to a valve body driving means for driving a valve body of the coolant flow control valve is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
