Disclosed are a method and device for processing a Wi-Fi hotspot connection, and a terminal, which solve the problem of high power consumption of a terminal used as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The present invention comprises: receiving probe frame information; performing parsing processing on the probe frame information to obtain a processing result; if the processing result indicates that the probe frame information is a probe request for probing Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) information of a terminal, performing judgment processing on the probe request according to the correlation between pre-stored WPS configuration information and the probe request, so as to obtain probe response information and send the probe response information to a sending end of the probe frame information; and if the processing result indicates that the probe frame information is a WPS connection request, acquiring connection response information obtained by processing the WPS connection request by an application processor of the terminal and sending the connection response information to the sending end of the probe frame information. The present invention reduces the average current of a mobile terminal and solves the problem of high power consumption of the terminal used as a Wi-Fi hotspot. |
