PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tag reader that can correctly detect mounting of an article product having the radio tag attached thereto to a prescribed site or pick-up of the article from the prescribed site without being affected by a mount environment of the radio tag.SOLUTION: A tag reader control device comprises: a transmission/reception unit that acquires an ID of a radio tag, transmits a request to cause a tag reader to transmit an ID detection command for acquisition of response signal intensity of the radio tag corresponding to the ID, and receives the ID and the response signal intensity of the radio tag corresponding to the ID from the acquired tag reader on the basis of the request; a storage unit that stores the ID and the responce signal intensity in association of the ID with the responce signal intensity; and a detection unit that detects mounting of an article or pick-up thereof on the basis of the responce signal intensity. The detection unit is configured to: determine whether a first or second prescribed condition is satisfied based on the prescribed number of latest stored previous responce signal intensities; when the first condition is satisfied, detect the mounting of the article corresponding to the ID; and when the second condition is satisfied, detect the pick-up of the article corresponding to the ID.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
