PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission device between boards having a function of a directional coupler in which an increase in mounting area is suppressed.SOLUTION: A signal transmission device 1 has a substrate 10 and a substrate 20. In the substrate 10 and the substrate 20, a first planar conductor electrode 14a and a third planar conductor electrode 24a are capacitively coupled to form a fifth capacitor 30, a sixth capacitor 31 is formed by a capacitive coupling between a second planar conductor electrode 14b and a fourth planar conductor electrode 24b, a first inductor 13 and a second inductor 23 are overlapped so as to inductively couple with each other. In the signal transmission device 1, the magnitude of a first output signal output from a fourth terminal 21b among the electric signals input to a first terminal 11a is larger than the magnitude of a second output signal output from a third terminal 21a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
