1. An optical fiber comprising:
an incident end on which light is incident; an emitting end from which the light is emitted; and an aperture provided in a core located at or near the emitting end, wherein the aperture is formed by irradiating the core with an ultrashort pulsed laser beam having pulse widths of 10−15 seconds to 10−11 seconds, wherein the aperture is formed by a light scattering region that is separated from the emitting end along an axis line of the core by a certain distance, and wherein at least part of the light passing through a region other than the light scattering region of the aperture reaches the emitting end by being reflected at an interface between the core and a clad of the optical fiber on the emitting end side of the aperture. |
