PURPOSE:To accurately control the power of each laser chip of a laser array. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 17b is turned off by a set signal during light emission of laser chips 11a and 11b to stop the light emission of the chip 11b and switches 13a, 20a, and 21a are turned on, the laser beam emitted from the chip 11a is made incident on a PIN diode 12a and is converted to a voltage by a current/voltage converter 14. This voltage is compared with a set voltage 22a by a comparator 15, and the difference voltage is fed back to the optical output of the chip 11a. After this series of servo, the feedback voltage is held in a holding circuit 16a. When switches 13a, 20a, 21a, and 17a are turned off to stop the light emission of the laser chip 11a and switches 13b, 20b, 21b, and 17b are turned on, the laser chip 11b emits light, and the output voltage is held in a holding circuit 16b through the same process as the laser chip 11a. Chips 11a and 11b emit light with the set power when the switch 17a is turned on thereafter. |
