PURPOSE:To prevent the operating mistakes in an information processing system by making the intervention of an operator unnecessary when the information on a magnetic disk is saved into an external storage. CONSTITUTION:A fact whether the information on a magnetic disk should be saved or not is previously designated to a function switch 8. A saving control part 3 checks whether the switch 8 turns on or off the saving action when a power switch 2 is changed to an OFF state from an ON state. If the switch 8 turns on the saving action, the information on a magnetic disk device 6 is saved into an external storage 4. Then, the power supply of an information processing system is turned off. If the switch 8 turns off the saving action, the power supply of the system is turned off with no saving action carried out. |
