PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric material composition suitable for automotive actuators. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition has a composition of rhombohedral system side rather than MPB composition at the phase boundary, e.g. a composition expressed by the formula: Pb1-x-ySrxBayLaz(ZraTi1-a-bMb)O3 (0.09<=x<=0.13, 0<=y<=0.04, 0<=z<=0.01, 0.555<a<=0.565, 0.005<=b<=0.03; M is Sb or Nb). This composition is useful for obtaining PZT-based actuators large in displacement under load and excellent in durability. |
