PURPOSE:To prevent a carrier attracting phenomenon as one of the factors of the fatal damage of a device by preventing that the concentration of toner in a developer is the critical level or below and further from bappening, to obtain stable image quality with simple operation by automatically taking a concn. adjusting action from the opening/closing information of a door switch after manual work for replenishing the toner. CONSTITUTION:This controller is constituted so as to provide a means judging the exhausting of the toner, when the toner concn. information (a concn. sensor 6 and a concn. discriminating circuit 11) has a a prescribed value or below at the time of starting up an electrophotographic process and a toner replenishing means (toner supplying motor 7) is driven for a first set number of times or above and informing an operator of the exhausting of the toner and a control means 10 informing the operator of the exhausting of the toner, when the toner concn. is not restored even if the toner replenishing means is driven for a second set number of times, after the opening/closing signal of the door is changed, in the case the toner concn. has a prescribed value or below, at the time of stopping the electrophotographic process and starting up it, when the toner concn. is restored. |
