PURPOSE:To prevent the elongation of a plate, to ensure superior dimensional stability and to prevent color blurring in the case of color printing by using a plastic film contg. fibers as a substrate. CONSTITUTION:In a planographic printing material having at least a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical developing nucleus layer on the substrate and utilizing a silver salt diffusion transfer process, a plastic film contg. fibers is used as the substrate. This plastic film is formed by drawing a polyethylene terephthalate polymer contg. fibers such as glass fibers or whiskers. The pref. fiber content is 0.5-30wt.% and the thickness of the plastic film substrate is 50-500mum. When a hydrophilic colloidal layer using gelatin as the principal binder is tightly stuck on the plastic film substrate, a photographic emulsion is applied after surface activation treatment so as to obtain adhesive strength. |
