<p>An air diffuser (100) having a plurality of ratchet mechanisms (20) for axially adjusting a diffuser core (104) relative to a diffuser cover (102). Each ratchet mechanism (20) comprises an upper plate connected to the diffuser cover (102), and a lower plate connected to the diffuser core (104). A tab (30) connected to the lower plate extends through a vertical slot in the upper plate. A swing arm (26) having ratchet teeth engages the tab at discreet vertical positions. Upward movement of the lower plate moves the tab (30) to upper portions, and further upward movement of the lower plate causes the swing arm (26) to engage a locking arm (28) allowing the ratchet to reset its lowest portion.</p> |
