PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve amusement with respect to a game machine provided with a display device capable of displaying a plurality of patterns. SOLUTION: The game board 2 of a pachinko machine 1 is provided with an operation port 3 and a big prize winning port 4 and the display device 13 having a display part 13a is incorporated in the center part of the board 2. A plurality of pattern strings are displayed in the display part 3a and the pattern strings are constituted of a plurality of patterns. A controller 24 generates a special game state being advantageous to a game layer on absolute condition that the pattern in the display device 13 becomes in a specified stop mode and displayed by establishment. Besides, when the prescribed condition is established, the controller 24 controls the patterns by scroll change display in a forward direction, controls at least one pattern to be temporarily stopped and displayed and, then, executes change display control in a backward direction for the portion of a plurality of patterns.
