PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water remaining in a water circuit inside a dental hand piece from flowing down from the hand piece and dirtying a floor or the like when separating the dental hand piece from an instrument hose by providing a check valve on the inflow side of the water circuit in the dental hand piece with a built-in water circuit. SOLUTION: The check valve 25 is provided on the inflow side of the water circuit 11 inside this dental hand piece 20 and the water remaining in the water circuit 22 inside the hand piece 20 is prevented from flowing down to the floor when separating the hand piece 20 from the instrument hose 40. Further, the water which flows out is prevented from being mixed inside an air circuit 21 and wetting powder inside a tooth surface cleaning powder housing tank 30 provided in the air circuit 21.
