PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional air-diffusing pipe built in a flotator facilitates the adhesive accumulation of waste paper fibers and the like and requires many labors for the manufacture of the pipe to enhance its cost. SOLUTION: This flotator has treating tanks into which a waste paper raw material liquid is supplied, and an air-diffusing pipe 25 which is built in the lower portions of the treating tanks to blow out bubbles, and is used for adhering ink particles existing in the waste paper raw material liquid to the surfaces of the air bubbles blown out from the air diffusing pipe 25, and then overflowing the ink particle-adhered air bubbles from the upper portions of the treating tanks to remove the ink particles from the waste paper raw material liquid. Therein, the air-diffusing pipe 25 has a cylindrical drum portion 26, air- introducing ports 27 for introducing compressed air into the drum 26, and air- diffusing ports 30 which are opened on the outer peripheral surface of the drum portion 26 to blow out the air bubbles. The length L of each air-diffusing port 30 along the axial line of the drum portion 26 is set to be larger than the width length W of the air-diffusing port 30 in the circumferential direction of the drum portion 26. |
