PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the axial length and miniaturize the whole body of a rotation transmission device having a two-way clutch and to improve operation stability of the rotation transmission device. SOLUTION: This rotation transmission device is so constituted that elastic members 30 of a retainer 26 supporting and energizing engagement elements to a neutral position, where the engagement element is prevented from engaged with in inner member 23 and an outer ring 22, are disposed within a range where the retainer 26 is positioned axially and the engagement elements positioned in a part disposing the elastic members 30 are omitted so that the axial-direction length of the rotation transmission device 21 can be shorten, the device whole body is miniaturized, and the multiple elastic members 30 can be uniformly disposed in the circumferential direction. |
