PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide proper maintenance service corresponding to individual users by changing the threshold value of the risk judgement of a copying means based on the informing frequency of jam from users in the past. SOLUTION: When the jam is caused, the counter value of the number of copying sheets obtained at that time and this time are recorded on a jam storage table by a communication controller 101. Thereafter, when the frequency of the jam recorded on a jam recording table arrives at a prescribed value, the data content thereof is transmitted to a host computer 104. By the computer 104, an accumulated jam curve is obtained based on the stored data after the storage of this jam data is finished and prescribed filter processing is executed based on the obtained accumulated jam curve. Then, the present risk is judged based on the content of a filter processing result. When the risk is judged, the reference of the risk judgement is changed according to the informing frequency with respect to the jam of the copying device 100 from users in the past. |
