A polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of any of SEQ ID Nos: 1 to 9 or a fragment or variant thereof or a fusion of such a fragment or variant, and polynucleotides encoding the same. The polypeptides or a fragment or variant thereof or a fusion of such a fragment or variant, and polynucleotides encoding the same, are useful as vaccines against Neisseria spp., and in particular prevent colonization of target tissue in an individual. Typically the vaccines are against N meningitidis or N gonorrhea.
