PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a biometrics quantity and an authentication program necessary for biometrics authentication from flowing out in a form analyzable by a third party.

SOLUTION: When a biometrics quantity for authentication is registered in an IC card, the biometrics quantity is acquired and encrypted by this biometrics authentication device, and directly stored in an IC card device without using a control computer. In authentication, the encrypted biometrics quantity registered in the IC card is inputted to the biometrics authentication device, and a biometrics quantity is extracted in the biometrics authentication device and authenticated by checking it against the inputted biometrics quantity. The biometrics quantity is encrypted and stored when the program for biometrics authentication in the authentication device is not started by the device.
