PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a projector capable of displaying a high-quality image by easily and accurately adjusting the alignment of an optical element. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a projector capable of displaying the image by making light modulated in accordance with an image signal incident on a surface to be irradiated includes: an adjusting light supply stage for supplying adjusting light from a light source for adjustment 41 to the optical elements in an optical path from the light source for adjustment 41 to the surface to be irradiated; and an alignment adjusting stage for adjusting the alignment of at least one of the optical elements in the optical path by using the adjusting light supplied to the optical element and an alignment mark put on the optical element.
