PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen with high resolution that shows less flickers on the screen and is gentle for visual sense by configuring that a light diffusing sheet or a Fresnel lens sheet constituting a rear projection type screen absorbs UV rays from a light source and emits visible light, and thereby, the screen emits incoherent light and can suppress scintillation. SOLUTION: The rear projection type screen comprises a light diffusing sheet which comprises, at least a lens sheet in an observer's side having a lens group having a function of directional diffusion, a light shielding layer, and a light transmitting base having non-directional diffusion, and a Fresnel lens sheet having a prism lens shape disposed in a light source side in the light diffusing sheet, wherein either the light diffusing sheet or the Fresnel lens sheet contains a material which absorbs UV rays to emit visible light.
