<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply constituted emergency mechanism which enables a lid member to be easily opened/closed by an external force such as human power on the occurrence of a failure in its driving source, in a lock mechanism for the lid member for opening/closing a prescribed space of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The lock mechanism 9 for restraining a deck panel 6 comprises a sector gear 13 which is provided on the side of the vehicle, and a pin 92 to be engaged, which is provided on the deck panel 6 so as to be engaged with the sector gear 13. The sector gear 13 comprises a hook portion 91 which is to be engaged with the pin 92, and a pushing portion 93 for disengagement, which moves the hook portion 91 in the direction of disengaging the hook portion 91 from the pin 92. In a roof storage chamber 7, an insertion space S for inserting a jack lever 104 for pushing the pushing portion 93 is formed in such a manner as to be opened to the side of the a cabin.
