PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a smear generated in an imaging device inconspicuous. SOLUTION: For a smear of magenta color which can not be fully suppressed owing to an error in correction or the like and is conspicuous particularly in the imaging element of a primary color filter, by turning the color to be the same as the color of the background before and after the smear, the degradation in image quality is mitigated. Also, in an object with gain increase such as a night view, only when the smear is detected, since the color of the part becomes the same as the color information of a previous line, the color of the smear becomes inconspicuous and the image quality degradation is prevented.
