PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water power machine capable of improving water wheel performance by reducing a leakage flow passing through a side gap of a guide vane.SOLUTION: A water power machine 1 is equipped with a channel defining member 15 for defining a channel; guide vanes 4a and 4b provided in the channel, and capable of rotating about a rotation axis; and a runner 6 provided on an inner peripheral side of the guide vanes 4a and 4b. The guide vanes 4a and 4b have a pair of edge portions 20 and 21 opposite to the channel defining member 15. On at least one of the edge portions 20 and 21 of the guide vanes 4a and 4b, disc members 30 and 31 buried in the channel defining member 15 and having a rotation axis 10 as center axis are arranged. The disc members 30 and 31 are superimposed on at least one of an upstream end 23 and a downstream end 24 of the guide vanes 4a and 4b, when viewed from a direction along the rotation axis 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
