PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermomagnetic cycle device which can promote activation from an initial temperature.SOLUTION: A magneto-calorific effect type heat pump device 2 as a thermomagnetic cycle device has a magneto-calorific element 12 between a high-temperature end 2a and a low-temperature end 2b. A heat transport device 16 has a pump 17 for making a heat transport medium flow along the magneto-calorific element 12. A control device 81 controls a power transmission mechanism 71 to a connection state so that the heat transport medium reciprocally flows at a prescribed flow length. The control device 81 can perform an activation operation prior to a normal operation. The control device 81 controls the power transmission mechanism 71 to a cut state in the activation operation. A one-way flow is supplied to the magneto-calorific element 12 by a stop of a flow passage changeover mechanism 18. The one-way flow provides a flow length longer than a reciprocation flow at the normal operation. By this constitution since the heat transport medium is introduced further deeper, temperatures of external systems 1a, 1b can be quickly supplied to the magneto-calorific element 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
