PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open system electrochemical cell which allows a user to analyze a state of an electrode cross section during an electrochemical reaction.SOLUTION: An open system electrochemical cell housing an electrode part includes: a housing configured to house the electrode part therein; an upper lid configured to seal an opening part of the housing and having an observation window; plates configured to sandwich the electrode part, one of the plates configured to contact with an air electrode and having holes.
