PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional fuel cell such that a frame forming a diffuser part is deformed and a cross sectional area of a gas flow path is reduced to increase a pressure loss of reacting gas, when a differential pressure of gas and a differential pressure cycle of the gas are generated between a cathode side and an anode side.SOLUTION: The fuel cell FC comprises: a membrane electrode assembly M; a frame 4 arranged on an outer periphery thereof; and a separator 5 partitioning and forming a gas flow path G between the membrane electrode assembly and the frame. A diffuser section D that is one part of the gas flow path G is formed between the frame 4 and the separator 5. Metal porous bodies 23, 33 having gas permeability are provided on a surface of an electrode layer, and the metal porous bodies 23, 33 are provided with extension sections 23A, 33A covering a region of the diffuser section D of the frame 4 on an outer peripheral side, so as to restrain deformation of the frame 4 due to a differential pressure of gas. |
