PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing a steel pipe pile with fins employing a steel pipe pile having a diameter as small as possible by using a casing with fins.SOLUTION: A method for installing a steel pipe pile with fins includes: a step (a) of rotatively pressing a casing comprising a casing body, a first fin fixed to a prescribed position of the casing body, a second fin detachably engaged with a bottom surface of the casing body, and at least one hook mechanism for making the second fin engage with the casing body; a step (b) of inserting the steel pipe pile from an opening of a ground side end part of the casing body into a projection part of the second fin; a step (c) of releasing the hook mechanism to release the second fin from the casing body; a step (d) of pulling out the casing body while the second fin and the steel pipe pile are left; and a step (e) of backfilling a space between the casing body and the steel pipe pile with sediment in the step (d). |
