PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that enables improvement in detection sensitivity in both of a contact state and a proximity state.SOLUTION: A touch screen 1 has: a transparent substrate 10; a plurality of pieces of excitation wiring 31 that extends in a row direction on the transparent substrate 10, and is disposed in the row direction; and a plurality of pieces of proximity detection wiring 45 and a plurality of pieces of contact detection wiring 41 that extend in a column direction, and are disposed in the row direction. In a plane view, the excitation wiring 31 has a first area 31a overlapping with the proximity detection wiring 45 and a second area 31b through which the contact detection wiring 41 passes, and which has a length in the column direction shorter than that in the first area 31a. |
