PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath dilator including a sheath and dilator having threaded engagement portions threadedly engaged with each other and regulation means at the threaded engagement portions for regulating a prescribed-amount of or farther threaded advancement.SOLUTION: A sheath dilator 100 for assisting insertion work of a catheter, such as a balloon catheter 80, includes: a cylindrical sheath 10 being torn in the longitudinal direction; and a dilator 30 to be inserted into the sheath 10. The sheath 10 and dilator 30 include, at proximal ends CE thereof, threaded engagement portions 24 and 32 threadedly engaged with each other. The threaded engagement portions 24 and 32 include: first and second engagement portions 51a and 51b formed at the dilator 30, as regulation means 50 for regulating that the threaded engagement portions 24 and 32 threadedly advance a prescribed tightening amount or farther; and first and second engagement reception portions 52a and 52b formed at the sheath 10 for being engaged with the threaded engagement portions. |
