PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system for enabling high-speed transmission, and an array antenna control method.SOLUTION: A radio communication system 1 includes a tag 20 and a reader 10, the tag 20 has a plurality of array antennas 22 for a tag, each array antenna 22 includes a termination condition variable circuit 28 for selecting an arbitrary element among a plurality of elements having a different impedance value, and the reader 10 comprises a transmission array antenna 12 composed of a plurality of antennas for transmitting a signal to the array antennas 22 for a tag, and a reception array antenna 14 composed of a plurality of antennas for receiving a refection wave from the array antennas 22 for a tag. An element having a different impedance value can use any element among a concentration constant element, a distribution constant element, and an element comprising the distribution constant element and the concentration constant element. When each antenna is an antenna of two elements, a bit error rate is improved by 17.3 dB more than in the case of being an antenna of one element. |
