PURPOSE:To obtain the molding having high hardness and high transparency by molding a polyester resin composition containing a specified amount of an inorganic filler having a specified particle diameter without drawing. CONSTITUTION:0.05-0.5wt.%, based on the composition, inorganic filler having a mean particle diameter of 0.1-5mum is added to a polyester resin (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) to produce a polyester resin composition. Suitable examples of the inorganic fillers are spherical ones having a Mohs hardness of 5-8, and contain silica, alumina and glass beads. The obtained composition is molded without drawing by a process such as injection molding or a blow molding process to obtain the molding (e.g. food packaging container) having transparency satisfying the formulas: (wherein Tt is the total transmittance as measured according to ASTM D 1003, and HAZE is the degree of cloudiness as measured according to ASTM D 1003). |
