<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: In a lithium-ion secondary battery 20, a cathode lead strip 2 and an anode lead strip 3, each drawn from a cathode board 15 and an anode board 16 at a top and bottom ends of an electrode group 6, are coated with an insulation layer 18 insoluble to nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The insulation layer 18 is made in such a way that both ends of the electrode group 6 are immersed in solution with a mixture of bisphenol-A type epoxy resin and acrylic acid copolymerization object dissolved in NMP, dried by hot air, bridged, and cooled down to a room temperature. Even if expansion or contraction of cathode and anode mixture layers occurs, such defects as burrs and remaining in a cut-end surface of current collector lead strips are covered by the insulation layer 18 and do not make direct contact with a separator 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
