The method involves managing an open position or closed position of a switch connected to electrical networks using a managing unit. The managing unit is configured such that the switch is controlled in the open position during life situation such as starting of a vehicle heat engine by an alterno-starter of a stop and start system. The switch has a control input for setting the switch in closed position for electrically connecting the electrical networks or in open position for isolating the electrical networks. An independent claim is also included for a device for managing an electrical power supply system of a hybrid vehicle.
