PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer with an ink head which is of a simple structure and capable of preventing a recording medium and the ink jet printer itself from being contaminated by an accumulated waste ink in the ink head after a purging action or lowering the contamination level. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer comprises an ink head module for ejecting an ink, a nozzle plate attached to the ink head module and a rib formed projecting to the recording medium side where an image is recorded, from the nozzle plate. The rib is formed tapering toward the tip. |
