CAM FOR HINGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam for a hinge making resistance at the time of slipping down on a tiling surface of a cam surface smooth from the initial stage, and having an excellent actuating property. SOLUTION: This cam for a hinge adding frictional resistance when opening/ closing or folding members is made from an iron-based sintered alloy showing a hardened structure and having air hole. The surface state of a cam surface uses a surface roughness profile measured length 0.8 mm obtained by surface roughness measuring, and is a line having 1μm depth that is parallel with a line connecting two and more points on the peak of the profile. The sum of distance intersecting the crest of the profile is made to be 40 to 80% of the measured distance.
