<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the temperature of a fixation section 22 only when it is decided that an operation item received from a console panel section 3 requires image printing. <P>SOLUTION: A scanner section 1 reads an image on a document and outputs image data, an imaging section 21 forms an image on a predetermined recording medium based upon the image data, and the fixation section 22 fixes the formed image at the predetermined fixation temperature; and a printing necessity/nonnecessity decision section 25 decides whether input of the designated operation item received from the console panel section 3 requires image printing, and a fixation temperature control section 23 performs control to raise the temperature of the fixation section 22 according to the decision on whether image printing is necessary made by the printing necessity/nonnecessity decision section 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
