Disclosed is an electrical component comprising electrically conducting structures that are disposed on an electrically isolating or semiconducting substrate as well as component structures which are electrically isolated from each other and are sensitive to a voltage or arcing. In order to prevent arcing between the electrically isolated component structures, said component structures are short-circuited by means of a shunt line that is provided with a smaller cross section than the other electrical conductor paths. The shunt line can be burned through at any moment, especially following completion of the component production, by applying an electric current, resulting in the component structures being electrically isolated as far as required by the function of the component. |
