PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor follow-up system having high responsiveness and high recognition rate. SOLUTION: The image sensor follow-up system comprises a photoelectric sensor 5 for measuring the distance to an object, an image processing section 7 for performing object recognition for the image of the object captured by a camera 4 and calculating the center of gravity; a rolling axis displacement angle calculation section 8 for calculating the rolling angle from the center of the image to the object, a rolling axis drive section 9 for driving the driving section of a rolling axis, until the rolling angle reaches zero; a photoelectric sensor distance measuring section 10 for measuring the distance to the center of gravity of the object and the scan angle with respect thereto; a camera follow-up angle calculation section 11 for calculating the angle between the camera 4 and the object 43; an inverse kinematics calculation section 31; and a yawing/pitching axis driving section 32.
