PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform power generation by operating backup by power generation during low-speed operation after stopping the operation using a stopping means. SOLUTION: The detector during backup for an encoder has the stopping means 20 for temporarily stopping the operation of a detected object 1, the detected object 1 operates when the operation force of the detected object 1 exceeds the stop force of the stopping means 20, and the detected object 1 is detected by a detecting means 11 for backup using the electric power 8a generated by a power generating means 9 during operation.
