PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening display device simply constructed to be easily mounted on an existing valve opening/closing shaft. SOLUTION: The valve opening display device comprises index teeth 15 to be freely mounted/demounted on an existing valve operating shaft 3 which performs valve opening/closing operation with rotation for producing physical motion corresponding to the rotating amount of the rotation in synchronization with the rotation of the valve operating shaft 3, and a spur gear 12 having a state change of an amount corresponding to the physical motion produced by the index teeth 15, namely to be rotated. To the spur gear 12, a rotating number display 13 is applied for displaying the rotating number of the valve operating shaft 3 to be indicated by the index teeth 15. The rotating number indicated by the index teeth 15 and displayed by the rotating number display 13 with the rotation of the spur gear 12 corresponds to the rotating number of the valve operating shaft 3.
