PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for a road surface easily operable with simple constitution, having excellent transportation efficiency and working efficiency and high safety, low in cost and economical. SOLUTION: The cutter 1 for the road surface is composed of a vehicle body base part 2; front wheels 3 and rear wheels 4 for moving travel; a rotating shaft 5 with a rotation center axis arranged in the same direction as the arranged direction of the front wheels 3 and rear wheels 4; a rotating shaft holding part 6 holding the rotating shaft 5; a rotating drive source 7; and a drive part holding body 9 mounted with the rotating shaft holding part 6 and the rotating drive source 7 and arranged to be swingingly separable from the vehicle body base part 2. A rotary blade body part 12 provided with a cutting edge at the periphery is detachably mounted to the other end 11 of the rotating shaft 5 in a state of extending from the front end 13 of the vehicle body base part 2, and the rear end 15 of the drive part holding body 9 is provided turnably around a turning center part 16 provided in a predetermined part of the vehicle body base part 2.
