PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display inspection device and a display inspection method for a game machine, capable of automatically inspecting a display device of the game machine with high reliability; and to provide a symbol display inspection device and a symbol display inspection method. SOLUTION: An imaging device 2 takes the image in the display screen of a symbol display device 23 of the pachinko game machine 20, and outputs an image signal. When the imaging device 2 takes the image displayed in the symbol display device 23, the inspection device 1 compares the image signal of the taken image output from the imaging device 2 with a signal for the image display output from a symbol control board 22, and determines the performance of the display function of the symbol display device 23.
