PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compositing device capable of achieving an improvement in the visibility of a composite image generated from the images photographed with a plurality of photographing devices over the conventional visibility. SOLUTION: The image compositing device generates a composite image that composites each image photographed with cameras 2a-2d for photographing surroundings of a vehicle. In the photographic pixels forming images of photographing ranges of 22a-22d and 23a-23d photographed with the two cameras in a duplicated manner, the photographic pixels forming the image of the photographing range of 22a-22d are related to the corresponding pixel position in a duplicated manner, and the photographic pixels forming the image of the photographing range of 23a-23d are related in a duplicated manner to the pixel position of the composite image in the region to which no photographic pixels are related. Using the photographic pixels related in a duplicated manner to the pixel position of the composite image as a sample, a parameter for image adjustment is calculated, and, after an image adjustment of at least one of the photographed images is performed using the calculated parameter, a composite image is generated.
