PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation hair dye imparting tenseness and stiffness having excellent persistency to the hair. SOLUTION: The oxidation hair dye comprises (A) one or more kinds of oxidative bases selected from para-amino phenol, ortho-amino phenol and salts thereof and (B) one or more kinds of couplers selected from meta-amino phenol, 5-amino-ortho-cresol and salts thereof and phloroglucin andα-naphthol and is free of a diamine type dye.
