A net 1 for a wheelie bin that fits over the interior of a wheelie bins lid 8 and is detachably secured to the exterior of the lid, the net 1 prevents the ingress of flies into the bin. Preferably the net 1 is in the form of a box that has an open side with elasticated edges 3 that encompasses the lid of the bin, with at least one elasticated strap 4 attached to one of the elasticated edges that passes over the exterior of the bin lid and detachably secured to a securing point such as a hoop 7 located on an apposing edge of the net.
