DIAGNOSTIC METHOD FOR HEART DISEASES USING NCX-1

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing canine heart diseases using NCX-1 gene is provided to research NCX-1(sodium-calcium exchanger-1) gene expression and determine progress of heart failure. CONSTITUTION: A method for diagnosing canine heart disease comprises: a step of collecting peripheral blood from a dog and isolating RNA from the blood; a step of synthesizing cDNA; a step of making primer referring to canine NCX-1 gene sequence; a step of mixing cDNA with the primer, performing real-time PCR, and measuring expression degree of NCX-1 gene; and a step of determining the degree of the heart failure.
